Chuck Timely & The Hourglass, Role Models 3rd Album was released as of the 7th of August 2026.

His last album being released in 2025, his fans are excited for this one!

The album starts off with the track ‘Chucks Mantra’ , this starts off with acapella and it’s just his vocals, they sound kind of distant. There’s a slight kick of a beat to build up an element of a beat to the song. As the song progresses we are met with layering of vocals and backing

vocals, as well as an increase in instruments used. I think this is a very good start to the

album and I believe that it makes you excited for what is about to come throughout the rest

of the album. Tucker explores the feelings of how he deserves something good in life, but

he’s never lucky with time. I think this is a good theme to start the album off with and when I

first listened I honestly couldn’t wait to hear what was going to come.

High Hopes 3000, the first single that was released in this new era. Beat of drums. Upbeat.

Bopping your head. High hopes was definitely a good song to introduce us to this era of

Tuckers. It had a country feel to the song and when it first came out it was on REPEAT! This

song starts exploring the feeling of loneliness, which as you listen to the album it’s a

common feeling and emotion. Even though the song is upbeat Tucker sings about how he

needs high hopes, positive energy in his life. Because right now, he wasn’t experiencing

positive things.

Song Is All You Got, is the next song in this album, it carries on the feeling of being upbeat

with the instrumentals. The vocals at the start of the song are distant, like Tucker is having a

conversation and we are hearing it from far away. Layered vocals and keys are elements we

hear once again, but introducing electric guitar and a few solo lines. The lyrics of this song

actually go through the journey of losing someone, and how you have nothing sometimes left

of someone. And sometimes a Song Is All You Got. And that’s ok.

A funkier vibe is what introduces Love I You. I was immediately bopping my head. The

instrumentals are a lot more experimental and different in this song compared to what we’ve

heard of the album so far. But I LOVE it! It’s such a good feel, and I definitely like this new

feel to the album. Love I You is a muddle of words that say I love you which could mean

Tucker is trying to avoid saying the words to someone. This song further explores the

feelings of loneliness as he says he would ‘sell his left foot’ for someone to be near him and

keep him company. Rumours of his new girlfriend Dakota Johnson speaking in this song at

the end. To be honest when I first saw this on TikTok I went crazy! This is insane. The

conversation has a lot of tension, builds a different feeling than the other songs. They are

recently together, so he could be saying I love you in different ways if he wasn’t ready to

actually say it yet.

Chasing Midnight allows us to see a different side of Tucker (Role Model) in this album. It explores the feelings of moving to the city, and it's different to what he is used to. Once again going through the emotions of loneliness. He explores the feelings of how sometimes something is only exciting at night time and it might disappear when the sun starts to rise again, so they are constantly waiting for midnight to come so they can have their fun. Because by the time the morning comes it won’t be like this anymore. Kind of like an ongoing one night stand but it stands more exciting than that, and he is more attached than that also. The vocals in this song are amazing.

Good Thing starts with high keys, adds some hope and a happier feeling. However the

lyrics contradict this when he starts singing about needing someone in his life and does it

make him less of a man for feeling and craving this in his life. There’s a build up of drums

and cymbals, electric guitar, synths, all complimenting each other, violin of some sort. The

piano finishes his sentences in a way, making his words unsaid. Throughout this song there

is a lot of questioning of himself, and everything in his life for the way he is feeling, and

letting people in. At the end he says ‘to my surprise it’s a good thing’ he’s shocked himself by

letting someone in and the feeling of craving someone close to you is actually a good

feeling, it doesn’t make you weak. He’s surprised that he let someone in and it went well.

Started off sad and contradicting his instrumentals and yet we go on the journey of him

realising letting someone close to him is okay and it’s a good thing.

Joy. The second song of the album that was released as a single. Electric guitar straight

away, a different vibe to the first single that was released in this era. At the start of the song

we get his classic ‘wooo’ to start off the song. Very upbeat and electric compared to high

hopes was very upbeat and a bit more on the country side. This song could be a journey on

from the last song, as he is allowing the person to come closer into his life, letting them in.

But also I think personally this song is about Joy itself, no metaphors or anything. He is

saying that he misses joy, and he had it most when he was younger. Joy is personified in this

song, as he says he misses her.

Service Receipt. When I saw the track list for this album, this song intrigued me the most. I

had absolutely no idea what it was going to be about. The song starts off with keys like good

thing but they are lower than this song. The song is exploring the feeling of wondering what

or if he could have done anything to get somebody to stay around in his life longer. Like he’s

questioning himself, thinking of everything he did wrong.

Honeydew could be our first direct love song on this album. We are welcomed back to the

acoustic feeling when listening to this song, however this song feels a bit more somber. The

lyrics go through telling someone that they are okay, and it is just Tucker and this said

person. I think this song feels intimate, almost like we are listening to their conversation from

afar. The instrumentals change from guitar to keys which could signal a change of emotion,

from feeling sad to being slightly happier. Drum beat starts and all instruments are

introduced.

‘I will give you all my time’ he is willing to sacrifice his time to give it to them. This feels romantic. It sounds like it is just them two against everything, it almost feels like we are a part of it.

Stain carries on the funkier feel like Love I You. Head bopping the whole time (when are you

not when listening to this album). He talks about how this person comes back when he least

wants it, saying it’s a stain that he cannot get rid of, it’s constantly there. He explores the

feeling of being a back up plan as this person keeps coming back when things don’t work

with other people, this is a feeling that a lot of people within this generation can probably

relate to.

The Wedding is a very sad song. I think it is the slowest song on the album, it definitely adds a different tone. He explored the feelings of driving slowly to a wedding, and he didn’t

really want to go. The night before the wedding he didn’t want to ever really get married but

after attending this wedding, he was convinced at the raw emotion of it. Explores the

emotions of how special a wedding is. ‘My mother’s dreams coming true’. The fantasy of

getting married might be coming true for him and it explores the emotions of how beautiful

and special a wedding really is. I really like this song as it feels vulnerable.

Harmony, upbeat drums to introduce the song, synth and keys and bass building up. Very

upbeat song to end the album on. It feels like an ending song which is always a good feeling.

Instrumental for a lot longer than the rest of the songs on this album. At first he’s almost

listing off his achievements ‘a few months since I last got high’ and talks about how he thinks

he is doing better. His walls are coming down. Everything makes sense to him about how he

has felt before, like a moment of realisation. He is almost saying everything has done right

and wrong has led this person to being by his side so he’s gonna keep doing that. And he’s

’a little less lonely’ which is almost like a moment we all feel happy for him, like we have

gone on a full journey with him. A perfect ending song.

I love this album, if you haven’t given it a listen. You definitely should.
